Normally playing host to “big room” DJs like Tiesto, Sasha & Digweed, and James Holden its often lost on the masses Mansion’s ability to create a groovy and tight atmosphere. One that replaces the hard driving sounds of progressive and trance, with the inviting and warm sensations of funk and big room house music, courtesy the legendary San Francisco imprint Om! In that respect this cavernous space seemed as small as a intimate lounge. The atmosphere was almost family oriented in the way it connected all who attended. Blistering basslines that hump your facelines greeted listeners as The Greenskeepers funked the room out! Seriously they are the white Parliament! To keep a healthy dose of love floating around the room Andy Caldwell stepped up with some live vocal gems courtesy of Lisa Shaw (fresh from his new album Universal Truth) to be followed by the unparalleled female dynamic duo of the sensual vocalness of DJ Colette and the barrelling deepness that only DJ Heather can produce. If that wasn’t enough, then came DJ Sneak and Mark Farina as they each hammered the dance floor respectively to close this jamboree out, with nary a disappointed face in the room. In all honesty, we haven’t seen the Sneakster having so much fun behind the decks in quite some time. Pure joy this one was…to experience and of course, to remember. Big shout out to the staff at Om, Gunnar, John, Tamara, Ramiro, and Rob, who all were wonderful hosts. Can’t wait for Om 2007!

They slap you on the back (ouch, that hurt actually…), they want to be seen with you (hang on, your trousers reflect badly on me…), take drugs with you (just say no)... ::: Read the Interview
