::: Photo Album » WMC 2007 | 1.1 Legends Go Digital @ Shine [Miami]

Billed as the official opening party for WMC 2007, where better to start out our South Beach escapades then in the presence of some of the scene's most legendary DJs. Todd Terry, Kenny Dope, Terry Hunter and none other than Jazzy Jeff touched down for a mix of house, funk, and old school. While Shine as a venue isn't the most ergonomic in terms of layout, one thing that has improved immensely is the sound! Boasting a fully overhauled system by Integral Sound, the audio in now perfectly balanced with full and rich bottom ends and loud enough to feel the groove but not so overpowering you couldn't think or converse with your closest friends. Warming up the night was none other than NYC legend Terry Hunter. His mix of smooth and groovy house paired with gorgeous classics. Next up was turntabilist extreme DJ Jazzy Jeff who proceeded to bump out an old school hip hop and funk scratch set as only he can. Unfortunately those tunes were not what we came here for so we parted ways with the Legends and went on for some tasty pop tarts in part 2 of the evening.

::: Tom Novy Interview
Six million stories and two side to a medal. There's a lot to tell. You just can't be mad at him: champagne, nipple slips and frenzy belong to every music event. Still, Tom Novy seems to attract them in a very special way. No wonder, after all he is one of the few exceptionally gifted artists in the music scene...

Magazine.net Top 50

The onslaught continues... with killer tunes pre and post WMC we continue to get hammered with amazing new music every week. Carl Kennedy's vocal anthem The Love You Bring Me on Roger Sanchez's Stealth imprint hits the top spot, largely due to a killer remix from Eddie Thoneick.
