Just like Scion, Tommy Boy threw an invite only, exclusive VIP event at the luxurious Hotel Victor in celebration of French house music icon Bob Sinclar's huge success with his album Western Dream. Also introducing Ultra Nate's new album and other upcoming electronic acts from the noted commerical label. With complimentary beverages from Snow Queen Vodka, this was the perfect way to warm-up for a very busy evening ahead of us and made Bob Sinclar's extremely blocky programming and the cool weather tolerable. While the French star is an incredible producer, penning three of 2006's biggest house music anthems, his DJ skills left much to be desired. On a track by track basis there was some amazing stuff including several of his new gems that will be coming to us soon, but the programming was very schizophrenic and created no flow to the set. But after a few rounds of triple vodka sodas, technical things fade away and the anthematic tunes got the feet moving and the bums shaking. Looking on the bright side, at least it didn't rain. At least not yet...
