Yes we made it to Saturday!!! It seems like we have been going strong for a month, but as we slid into Day 5 we decided to take the afternoon off and catch up on some much needed sleep and R&R by the pool. And all that relaxation was necessary as we had a very anticipated evening ahead of us. First on deck was Seb Fontaine's notorius Type party, this year being held at Shine in the Shelbourne Hotel. Sporting a sweet lineup of house jocks DJ Dan, Seb, Tom Novy and D Ramirez we were anxious to get our socks blown off... and that we were. Arriving shortly after midnight, the room had swelled to a sizeable crowd and were getting down to some smooth grooves from Tom Novy. Tom bumped and worked the crowd with a very uplifting set that led perfectly into America's top house jock DJ Dan. Dan always has that ability to devastate a dancefloor, but for whatever the reason he was beyond even his best on this night. Playing perhaps the best set we've heard from him in 5 years, Dan ripped up the packed house into a frenzy with a blend of big electro anthems and trademark funky house. After an hour of Dan-ism we were graced with the Type man himself Seb Fontaine. Seb was not to be outdone, and kept the funk and the bump grooving, paving the way for D Ramirez to finish us off. It would have been easy to stay here from start to finish, but a little down the way, some bald headed Brit was going off, and we needed to be there!
